The club has agreed to a bulk order of AOCC branded Top Flaps, with each member receiving one free of charge! This will help us promote and advertise the club whilst we are riding, but also make sure we are able to ride in a tight group during the winter months, keeping spray off one another, something which has been lacking this winter! We were all sad to hear that our member Chris Knutton had suffered a terrible accident on New Years Eve 2017 when he was descending Halifax Road near Keighley, a vehicle turned into his path and unfortunately Chris hit it at speed. At this month’s Club meeting, a discussion took place about time trailing, we have a couple of possibilities, one is to Join Ilkley Cycle club with their TT series on the Addingham Course (V810). Airedale Olympic CC's annual Reliability Ride took place on Sunday 11th February 2018. Approximately 75 riders braved wintry conditions to tackle the hilly 43.5 mile route from Pool-in-Wharfedale to Knaresborough via Summerbridge and Ripon.
