We look forward to resuming club rides and social events as and when it is indicated to be safe and appropriate to do so.  In the meantime, please stay in touch via the Club's facebook page. OTLEY CC RELIABILITY RIDE CANCELLED DUE TO THE AMBER WEATHER WARNING After much consideration, Otley CC have made a call to CANCEL Sunday 16th Feb reliability ride. With high winds and risk of flooding as Storm Dennis hits the UK this weekend, rider safety is of paramount importance. NEW 9TH EVENT ADDED TO THE SERIES! What was the Hateful Eight has now become the Notorious Nine Yorkshire Reliability Ride Series 2020, as Moonglu add ninth event to the calendar.  The 2020 Reliability Ride season kicks off with Struggle Events on 19th January 2020, providing winter motivation for nine consecutive Sundays. On the 30th March the club will be riding out from Rawdon to Scarborough on the North Yorks coast for Fish & Chips! Now established as the club's early season century ride, it's a great opportunity to test your legs before the Spring & Summer - good 50mile warm up before a few short sharp climbs after lunch. Starting at the car park near Barden Tower, Bolton Abbey and following the infamous Barden Road, the climb averages 7% but with several ramps up to 14%, presenting a tough challenge even for the fittest cyclist. The club has agreed to a bulk order of AOCC branded Top Flaps, with each member receiving one free of charge! This will help us promote and advertise the club whilst we are riding, but also make sure we are able to ride in a tight group during the winter months, keeping spray off one another, something which has been lacking this winter!
